Hands-On Modules Included in the Course

Biopsy Excision Training

Participants will learn the proper technique for biopsy and excision of skin tags, moles, and cystic lesions using punch and scalpel techniques.

Incision and Drainage Training

Participants will learn the proper technique for incision and drainage of an abscess, whether or not to pack, and definitive treatment including antibiotic appropriateness.

Ultrasound Abscess Assessment

Ultrasound Assessment Training

With ARC Live, participants will get hands-on practice in the art of ultrasound assessment of abscesses and soft tissue disorders.  Participants will learn how to differentiate an abscess with fluctuance from simple cellulitis and answer that all important question of “Should I cut?”.
